Kathleen Simmonds
Kathleen spent seven years working in the business sector before deciding to train as a solicitor.
Kathleen obtained a law degree and Diploma in Legal Practice from Strathclyde University. She worked part-time at Inksters during her studies and started her traineeship with us in 2008.
Kathleen is particularly interested in Commercial Law and in Wills and Executries.
She has successfully completed the first two courses of the STEP Diploma for Scotland on Wills and Executries: Law and Practice and Trusts: Law and Practice. STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) is an internationally recognised professional body for practitioners working in the field of trusts and estates and the Diploma allows practitioners to gain a recognised qualification in this area.
Kathleen was nominated for the Trainee of the Year award at the Law Awards of Scotland 2009.
