Corporate Social Responsibility Law Firm of the Year

14 September 2012

Inksters won the Corporate Social Responsibility Law Firm of the Year award at the Law Awards of Scotland in Glasgow last night.

This award recognises Inksters support of the Barnardo's Free Will Scheme. This included Inksters setting up a pop up wills kiosk in a Barnardo's shop in Glasgow manned by Iain Witheyman during Remember a Charity Week. This project builds upon the Inksters Give philosophy which began in 2009 with the Habitat for Humanity Global Village Challenge in Argentina.

On hearing the result of the CSR Law Firm of the Year Award SallyAnn Kelly, from Barnardo’s Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to hear Inksters has won the CSR Law Firm of the year award, they truly deserve it.

“We’d also like to thank Inksters for their support and participation in Barnardo’s Free Will Scheme. Dying without a will can cause many problems for those who are left behind. It‘s not always right to just assume that everything will go smoothly. And making a will is also an opportunity to make a donation to causes that matter to you.  These donations are our lifeblood and make a huge difference to the vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people who we work with.

“Thanks to Inksters’ pop up wills kiosk in Glasgow we were able to bring a valuable service to the public and help secure funds for the future of our services.”

Brian Inkster said "I am delighted by this recognition of the work we have been doing in conjunction with Barnardo's. The Inksters Give philosophy ensures that we give something back to communities and charitable causes. Our clients have been very supportive of such initiatives and we will be continuing to develop this in the future"
