Sponsoring Shetland Junior Chess Championship 2012

Inksters are sponsoring the Shetland Junior Chess Championship 2012. This follows on from the success of the Inksters' Shetland Museum and Archives Junior Chess Competition held last year to coincide with the exhibition of the Lewis Chessmen in Shetland. That competition reignited interest of Chess in Shetland following a gap of many years since the last Chess Championships were held in the Northern Isles.
The Inksters Shetland Junior Chess Championship 2012 will be held in the Shetland Museum and Archives Auditorium on Saturday 15 September 2012 at 1pm (Registration at 12.30pm). There will be 5 rounds with 15mins per player per round. It is open to under 17s only. There will be a trophy for the winner and cash prizes of £60, £30 and £15. The entry fee is £5.
