Alastair MacDonald
Alastair MacDonald is a solicitor and notary public. He joined Inksters in 2022 and is based in the Glasgow office.
Before joining Inksters, Alastair worked for Low Beaton Richmond in Glasgow for about four and a half years. He qualified as a solicitor in 2018, having undertaken his traineeship with Leslie Wolfson & Co, also based in Glasgow city centre. He obtained his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and LLB from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and prior to studying law he obtained an MSc in Environmental Health from the same university and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Alastair has lived in Glasgow since 2007 and grew up in the Highlands.
Alastair specialises in residential conveyancing and has experience of dealing with sales, purchases (including auction and new build purchases), remortgages, transfers of title and discharges of standard securities. Having practised as a solicitor in Glasgow, he has particular experience of properties located there and in the surrounding areas, but he has also dealt with properties in Ayrshire and on the Isle of Cumbrae (as his previous firm had a small second office in Largs), on Arran, and further afield, such as Edinburgh, Perthshire and the Highlands. Alastair can act in transactions involving property located anywhere in Scotland and for clients who are based anywhere in the UK.
