Martin Burns
Martin Burns is a Solicitor and Notary Public.
Martin has over 30 years’ experience as a solicitor having qualified in 1991. For 15 of those years he was a director and principal solicitor at the Bathgate Family Law Practice Limited. A law firm that he established where the focus was solely on family law.
Martin advises on the financial aspects of separating, disputes involving the care arrangements for children, and preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney.
Martin Burns was Dean of the Faculty of West Lothian Solicitors in 2010. He provided reports for the Law Society's Client Relations Department and was a member of the Law Society's Client Relations Committee for several years. Since 2008, Martin has provided Livingston Sheriff Court with child welfare reports.
In his spare time, Martin enjoys spending time with his family, watching football and cricket, and researching local history. He also sings in a male voice choir.
