Crofting Law Conference in Fort William

Brian Inkster was speaking yesterday at the Crofting Law Conference in Fort William held by The WS Society in association with the Crofting Law Group. Brian provided views from a solicitor on the Crofting Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 following on from talks given by Roy McLachlan (views on the Act from the Scottish Government) and by Nick Reiter (views on the Act from the Crofters Commission).

Brian Inkster sat on the panel of experts along with Nick Reiter, Donald Smith and Derek Flyn for a Question & Answer session on the Act.
In the afternoon the Conference continued with talks from Simon Fraser on the Succession issues arising from the new Act, a consideration by Sir Crispin Agnew QC on using Mediation to settle crofting disputes and a look at recent crofting case law by Donald Cameron, Advocate.
